 Hello friends, how are you? Today we will talk about completing sentences rule (5-8).

First let's find out what the completing sentence is. By completing sentences we mean the completion of an incomplete sentence. This is a very common item in English grammar. In order to master this information, you need to have a clear idea about all aspects of English grammar. So let's find out what is the completing sentence through some rules.

            Rule-05 of completing sentences


Since / As is used in the sense of since or cause. If the given clause is preceded by Since / As and the clause indicates the cause, then the result of the cause has to be written.


Structure: Since/As added incomplete sentence + another complete sentence. 

》Since the water was very salty,...........

Ans: Since the water was very salty, they couldn't drink it. 

》As he was honest,............

Ans: As he was honest, he was rewarded.


        Rule-06 of completing sentences 


Unless means if ... not. So the sentence with Unless is never negative. If the sentence with unless is present tense then the other clause is future indefinite / imperative sentence.


Structure: Unless + sub + verb + adj/adv/phrase + sub + verb. 

》Unless you walk fast............

Ans: Unless you walk fast you'll miss the bus. 

》Unless you eat abalanced  diet..........

Ans: Unless you eat abalanced diet you will fall ill 🤒. 


        Rule-07 of completing sentences 


Till / Until means not until. In this case the two clauses are of the same tense. Until the word means negative. So the clause that starts with Until does not sit no or not in the clause. So the next part of Till / Until is affirmative.


Structure: Till / Until sentence + a complete sentence.

》Wait until..........

Ans: Wait ✋ until I come back

》Wait here until..........

Ans: Wait ✋ here until the rains 🌧stop. 


        Rule-08 of completing sentences 


Rules for completing incomplete sentences with The time / The place.


Structure: Incomplete sentence + when/ where + sub + verb.

》Dhaka is the place.........

Ans: Dhaka is the place where Rahim was born. 

》10 pm is the time..........

Ans: 10 pm is the time  when I was born. 


Some examples of rule (6-8).


01. Since he was poor,.........

02. He could not attend the class since he,.........

03. I will be nursing him till..........

04. They will wait ✋for me until I...........

05. Unless you read 📚 attentively..........

06. A mosque 🕌 is the place...........
