Rule-09 of completing sentences 


Despite the meaning of Inspite of / Despite. If there is inspite of / despite in incomplete sentence, they have to be completed with opposite meaningful sentence.


Structure:Inspite of/Despite + Possessive form + Noun + extension. 

》Inspite of his poverty........

Ans: Inspite of his poverty, he is happy 😊.

》 Despite his riches..........

Ans: Despite his riches, he leads a very simple life. 


Rule-10 of completing sentences 


Instead of / In lieu of is a phrase that means "instead". This type of phrase usually sits in a simple sentence. These two phrases are used to mean taking or liking another thing instead of one thing or subject.


Structure: Instead of/In lieu of + NP(noun/pronoun) + clause.

Or, Clause + Instead of/ In lieu of + NP.

》Instead of history...........

Ans: Instead of history he took logic 🙄. 

》In lieu of English..........

Ans: In lieu of English he took biology.
